Position Summary:
As an Autow Trailer Mechanic, you’ll work on commercial Class 8 dry vans, flatbed trailers, and dry van bodies (Box trucks). With a network of over 700 locations across the United States and Canada (via the NationaLease network), we provide extensive opportunities for growth and development.
Major Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, service, and repairs on dry van, flatbed, and various other types of trailers.
- Diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical, and other systems on trailers.
- Conduct wheel end, chassis, and suspension repairs.
- Perform refrigerated body repairs.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of Trailer Mechanic experience.
- Experience in metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of FHWA inspections and out-of-service criteria.
- ASE electrical or Air Brake System certification preferred.
- Welding experience with steel and/or aluminum preferred.
- Experience in repairing hydraulic lift gates is a plus.
